Can you help me understand how to best use a federated deployment?

- Do master zones typically have datastores and compute hosts?
- If I add a new geographic location, I should add master frontend nodes to the location to keep the master zone HA, correct? Is the introduced latency an issue for the slave zones and their respective resources?
