# Possible openvswitch issue?

Please, describe the problem here and provide additional information below (if applicable) …

After creating an open switch we have tried to deploy a VM and receive the following error.

## Deployments where previously working using standard bridged networking.

**Versions of the related components and OS (frontend, hypervisors, VMs):**

openvswitch 2.5.5

**Steps to reproduce:**

Deploy VM fails to deploy with the above error.

**Current results:**

**Expected results:**

for open switch to work 🙂  
for VM’s to deploy and use OVS.

we may have an issue as our internet connection it tagged with a VLAN, in bridged mode we where able to tag the VLAN and public internet was working, in OVS we may be missing something for this to function properly.

any help is greatly appreciated.
