# Upgrade from OpenNebula 5.8.4 to 5.12.0

Strange, because :

- you have [to prepare few things first](http://docs.opennebula.io/5.12/intro_release_notes/upgrades/start_here.html#previous-steps)
- then [upgrade the frontend](http://docs.opennebula.io/5.12/intro_release_notes/upgrades/upgrading_single.html)
- without forgeting to [upgrade the hypervisors](http://docs.opennebula.io/5.12/intro_release_notes/upgrades/upgrading_single.html#step-11-update-the-hypervisors-lxd-kvm-only)
- and you have [few steps more when upgrading from 5.8](http://docs.opennebula.io/5.12/intro_release_notes/upgrades/upgrade_58.html)

What is it missing?
