Cant create vm with snapshot

Hello everyone!

I need to resolve netx tasks: Clone existing vm without shut down last one.
I find next steps to do this:

  1. Going to vms tab
  2. Select certain one, go to storage settings
  3. Push saveas, waiting untill image was created
  4. Then make template with this image
  5. Creating vm

But on last step, vm getting state is PENDING and doesnt change aftewards. Checking one.log and sched.log but cant find any mistakes.

What can be wrong or what is right way to clone running vm?

Are you still using the “old” vSphere Client, this can be done in the Datastore Browser window?
