Hi! Have problem with setup network on OpenNebula Beta. Install VM but network doesn’t start.

All my attempts to run the network with OpenNebula Beta and Openvswitch - were unsuccessful.
Have last beta build Opennebula and Openvswitch 2.5.0. On OpenNebula 4.14 all works fine.

The first output seems correct: the ovs bridge is created, and devices attached to the ports. What are you missing?

OK, the IP should not be set on the bridge, so that’s ok.
But my concern is the VLAN_ID parameter. This has been improved in 5.0, so
could you send the onevnet show -x <vnet_id> and the onevm show -x <vm_id>
(seems that 47 or 59 will do).

It seems that the vnet has VLAN_ID = 2, so OpenNebula tag the port with 2.
If you need 151, update the network

After last update to 4.90.10 - all ok. VLAN_ID settings is correct!
Hi,
How can i disable VLAN in OpenVswitch ? . On previous Opennebula 4.14 we have an option to set VLAN = NO , but in newer version its not . Any update ?

Hi,
Yes this is a bug of current beta/rc. There is a patch upstream to add
AUTOMATIC_VLAN_ID to disable VLAN_ID generation.
