[SOLVED] VM Backup - question on restore

Hi!

How can I realize following backup/restore procedure:

Environment: NFS shared qcow2 datastore on NetApp.
Backup:

  1. All VMs via Opennebula Snapshots
  2. NetApp performs itself Snapshot on all ONE datastores
  3. Delete all Opennebula Snapshots

Recovery on VM Level:

  1. Stop VM
  2. Delete disk Image
  3. Copy all VM Files from NetApp into ONE datastores
  4. Restore VM Snapshot in ONE console

On testing the recovery I came across a problem as I cannot delete the VM disk files prior to recover the backup files.

Any hints on how to perform the restore procedure?

Ok - answered for myself.
Had first to undeploy the vm - shutdown didn’t do.
