Assign /64 subnet to each VM

Hi,

I have a dedicated server with an /48IPv6 subnet.
Instead of giving each VM a single IPv6 address, I want to assign each VM an own /64 IPv6 subnet.

Does anyone have a clue how I can realize this?

Thanks!

Any ideas?

Hello , you can’t really assign a /64 to a VM, each IP wherever it is needs assigning to a nic whether it be logical or physical, you can of course create secondary is addresses or virtual ips , the prefix will have been routed to your host I assume ? Either way something has to around for that address.

Can you shed a bit more light on this such as what you are trying to achieve or the use case.

Regards

Hi,
basically I just want to assign every VM it’s own /64 prefix from my /48 subnet.
