Create image from vm

i have installed a vm from my cobbler
how can i change the vm to a master template to deploy similar images from it?

i tried to create a vm and save it as template but i got this error

[one.template.clone] Error getting virtual machine template [16].

i dont want to use it as template. insted i want to convert it to image

You can save just image on images tab
