Import virtual network from vcenter - invalid name

Importing virtual network from vcenter produces following message : [one.vn.allocate] Invalid NAME, char ‘/’ is not allowed

I am using vSphere v6 with vOneCloud v3.0.2.

Same message is produced using the cli.

I am evaluating the benefit of using OpenNebula and unfortunately, we have a large number of networks with a slash ‘/’ in the name and I am unable to modify these.

Is there a workaround?

Hi retic,

As you said, opennebula core does not support “/” inside any name… so there aren’t many options to import these kind of network.

However is good to know it, you can create a new issue inside https://dev.opennebula.org/ asking for this, we could look for a fix and we will very grateful.
