Machine in state DONE keeps lease in use

Hi,

i run into a problem that a machine with

State 	        DONE 	
LCM State 	LCM_INIT

Keeps a lease in use; all options in the VM-tab are disabled and i have no way of releasing this lease.
I found a probably similar question without an answer.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I am not able to reproduce the problem in OpenNebula 5.2.1 or 5.4. I’ve tested the method described in the linked post (changing the vnet name) in both versions but after terminating the VM the lease is freed.

  • Which version are you using?
  • Do you use terminate action to finalize the VM?
  • Do you have any other information that can help us reproduce the problem?

i just did a ‘clean’ test:

  • new Virtual network (bridged)
  • instantiate VM with this test network attached (as second NIC)
  • lease is active
  • terminate hard on running VM, and, lease is released.

So, trying to repeat the problem is not successful.

For now i have solved the problem by manually removing the affected Virtual network from the database (it only had 1 client)

If/when this problem occurs again, i will try to monitor exactly what steps lead to the problem and update this issue.
