Change vCenter Default connection port

Hi all,

Currently I have a system where the vCenter 6.0 VSA was setup from using the default 9443 port to using 443. When I try to connect to the system via OpenNebula, it fails with a connectivity error. Is there a way of defining, or overwriting what port the vcenter driver uses to connect to the VSA? To change the port on the VSA may require a reinstallation as doing it on a live system is not documented and me trying it would most likely break my VSA system.

Thanks,
Jesus

Hi Jesus!,
I’m afraid that there’s no way in current code to change the port used to establish connections against vSphere’s API which by default is 443, so it’s not currently supported. I’ve opened a feature ticket for you so this port can be configured to a different one from the default.

Cheers!
