Currently not, but there is an open issue for this feature.

Is it just for kvm or will provide on vmware backend too, also for several times milestones changed, anyone has idea when this feature will be available?

It should be implemented for all of the hypervisors. Check vCenter as well.

it would be really nice, we had mem hot resize as a widespread default feature since Xen2 - that is 2005. Always feels wrong when I have to have downtime for this.
(And it’s embarrassing in face of users - quite)
