Notes about the installation of v5.0 beta

Hi,

thank you for fixing issue 4227. I tried it out with V5.0 BETA and it works fine.
While upgrading to V5 BETA i found out the following:

  • onedb upgrade only works with ruby 1.9.3 or higher installed. I tried it with ruby 1.8.7 (SLES 11SP4) which failed.
  • the one deamon needs some time to start so the startscript has to wait a few seconds before starting the scheduler deamon. Otherwise an error occurs with “cannot connect to oned-process”.
  • i cannot connect to the “OpenNebula Public” marketplace, maybe this function is not implemented yet ?

Just updated the platform notes to make explicit that ruby needs to be >=
1.9.3
