OpenNebula 6.8 Beta 1 released 🚀

Hello Community!!

We are proud to announce the release of the first beta for our 6.8 version of the platform. Rosette is its codename and it refers to another Nebula (located in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way)

You can read the article here: OpenNebula 6.8 Beta 1 is out.

Amongst the usual improvements, we have an addition of the Virtual Datacenter (VDC) and User tab to FireEdge Sunstone, the introduction of Backup Jobs, and improvements in the KVM drivers.

Many thanks to all those involved in the development, and don’t forget to post your questions, suggestions and feedback on our Community Forum.

Well, CentOS7 is not supported? It is true that it has EOL at mid 2023 but it is still used in production…

Well, since it will last only a month or two, the team decided not to support it (in fact, it wasn’t supported on 6.6 either).

For support on CentOS7, we suggest to use 6.4 which is LTS

Cheers,
