I am new to this cloud thing. I was testing sandstone on virtual box yesterday and saw that there is only one o.s available in the template options. Can’t i add any other os in the template like Ubuntu Server?

Yes, you can add a new OS image with the ISO you want and then use that image in the Storage section of the template.
