Vmware action timeout

if i have a windows vm (or other) which is stuck on the guest level, and i try to reboot it soft.
so if it hangs and unable to release itself, the opennbula keeps trying to reboot it softly and fails. and during this time i cannot choose to do a reboot-hard action because it’s “occupied”. so is there a way around this? maybe shorten the retry amount or the timeout amount of reboot-soft action?

thank you

TL;DR check SHUTDOWN_TIMEOUT and FORCE_DESTROY configuration variables (in the kvmrc file)
This sounds similar case?

thanks. but isn’t this for kvm?

You are right. It is KVM-related.
Probably someone still using vcenter/vmware could help.
