Trying the 7.0 on our testbed, I have an issue with fireedge, when I restart the service, everybody needs to reconnect.
With the legacy Sunstone, we had memcached sessions to avoid this.
I don’t find any cache related configuration in the documentation.
Should I open a feature request?

You are correct, the new Sunstone interface does not implement any memcached session storage. This is mainly due to the fact that a lot of configuration changes made do not require a restart at all, and those that do should in fact invalidate the old user sessions. However if you believe that this is something we should consider implementing, then please open a new feature request 
.
