Machine type form is kind of broken

Please, describe the problem here and provide additional information below (if applicable) …

Hi,

When editing a template, in OS & Kernel tab, a new text input appears “machine type” but it’s empty (no input box).
Same in CPU Model section, the form is empty.

Is that normal ? I understant that it’s a new feature for 5.4.6, but how do we use it ?

Versions of the related components and OS (frontend, hypervisors, VMs):

5.4.6 on CentOS 7

Steps to reproduce:

Install 5.4.1, than upgrade to 5.4.6

Current results:

Can’t choose CPU Model or Machine type

Expected results:

We should be able to choose CPU model etc

Hi @madko,

You’re right. I’ve opened an issue in github for solve this:
https://github.com/OpenNebula/one/issues/1716

This is a new feature for 5.4.6 and it’s to choose the CPU that libvirt supports.
Your problem in particular is the one I describe on github. Anyway, if you run ‘onehost sync’ this problem should be solved.

Thanks for the report.

Regards.

Thank you Abel, this is indeed fixed in 5.4.7. Well done!
