Recovering virtual machines after a DB crash

Hi guys,

My DB was corrupted after a hard boot. I had no choice but to restore from an old backup.

Now I have two problems:

  1. A few VM’s that were created after the backup do not appear in the Sunstone interface. I’m assuming this is because those machines are not in the DB dump I used to restore my environment. How do I get those machines back? They are still running and available, but I need them back in my DB for obvious reasons.

  2. A few machines are in a POWEROFF state and will not resume. I think this might be because the VM ID changed after the backup was made. How do I correct the VM ID and/or return these VM’s to a RUNNING state? These machines are also still running and accessible, but I’m worried what might happen running them in this state over the long term.
