Using vrouter as a firewall

S o right now I have a server with its own external ip address nothing else it is set with nfttables to allow connection only from my frontend. If I add the vrouter vm to it will I be using that as the firewall instead of nfttables on the server can I effectively shut that off?
TIA in advance

Hello @vizo,

Yes, you can utilize OpenNebula’s Virtual Router (vRouter) as a firewall within your infrastructure. The vRouter appliance supports various Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) such as NAT, DHCP, and DNS, and can be configured to manage traffic between your virtual networks and the internet.
