Template customization with vSphere does not work?

Hi,
I am using vOneCloud 1.2 (OpenNebula 4.10). I have imported a vSphere cluster, networks and templates. Seems to work fine. Now I am trying to modify template.
vSphere template has 1 vCPU, 1G RAM, and is attached to a distributed port group VLAN_30. I have tried to change OpenNebula template to have 2 vCPUs, 2G of RAM and attach it to VLAN_40. Neither of those settings took: the resulting VM is a straight clone from vSphere template, 1cpu/1G RAM/VLAN_30. What does it take to change these settings?
